    1. +Art Connolly Awesome Thanks for the feed back

  2. That can’t be right. Somebody born in ’92 has got to be like 6 or 7 years old. I haven’t been out of high school that long…

    1. +57WillysCJ Even YOU are a kid to me…graduated in ’65 ;p

    2. Yep, that is the way it goes. Still that senior discount isn’t bad.

    3. +Victor Beaudoin It’s a joke.  If you were in high school in the ’90s you don’t feel like anybody born then could possibly be that old.

    4. +Average Joes Joinery I bet you can’t wait to get into a PG-13 movie.

I glad we have the metric system in Australia , cause i dont wonna know how old i am …

    1. Yep made that mistake with the first ever tape measure i brought … now all my tape measure only come with the metric system on them.( which are available)

  4. Thanks … loving your videos and hints and tips.. my hubby passed away last year from the big C so I am on 40 acres rural area in Australia and have accomplished a lot from watching your videos.. thanks so much

    1. +Kerrie Bantoft ..just from one Ozzie to another ….sorry for your lose Kerrie …

  5. Some great tips Izzy………my tape measure isn’t long enough to get my age 😉
Merry Christmas to you and yours mate.

  6. Only problem with neodymium magnets on your tape is when you’re headed onto the roof and get too close to a gutter nail, you’re now stuck to your house forever. Have the wife throw some xmas lights around you, feed & water you now and then, and you’re the new annual illuminated animated Santa Claus.

    1. +Hello, Murica! Happened to me 3 years ago. This is my first year indoors since..

  7. Good stuff Izzy!

  8. i laughed. i cried, i learned something. nice work. -and we may really be twins izzy sway, as i was also born in 73!

    1. I cried to but only when I realized tape measures are people too. 😉 lol

  9. Haha. I didn’t actually know any of these. I am lame!

  10. Wood 'n' Stuff w/ Steve French

Cool tips. I was born in ’73 as well.

  11. Great tips! Love the megnet spider man trick!

  12. Great Video Izzy!

  13. Was that a Strandbeest in the background?

  14. Muito bom, mas gostei mesmo da sua tatuagem!!! rsrsrs

  15. When I was in the cabinet business in dinosaur times, We used to glue a disk of white melamine over the label of the tape measure to write measurements on. Now some tapes come with it already in place.

  16. love the Pythagorean therum(I say that to sound smart, I’m a big dummy) for finding square…the ratio is 3-4&5 the length of the sides so your base unit X3, X4, and X5 will give you the same square for any size, just use your smallest dimension and divide it by 3…that will be you base unit of measure…it is very handy when you cannot use a table saw or if you have an odd shaped piece.

    1. Also 5X12X13 or any multiples of either one.  The bigger the better for accuracy!

    2. agreed. less differential on larger measurements.

  17. USA are behind the times .. should go all metric then its real easy

  18. Like the magnet tip; reverse rolled duct tape also works for reaching lighter, non magnetic stuff.

  19. you are supposed to use a sharp marking knife not a thick pencil…

  20. A lotta times I’m up on a ladder with just a tape measure and someone tells me what year they were born. Thanks. Saved me a trip.
