  1. Great ideas, i don’t know that wax has so many uses, great video. This will have a lot of views soon!

    1. Thank you!

  2. Awesome! What would you recommend for my viking sword?

    1. Thanks Ken. The mineral oil mix would probably work the best to protect against rust. I hope you don’t need it for lubrication 🙂

    2. Well yes, if well lubed, the glint on my sword might provide more incentive for merchants to “trade” with me. Not to mention the resultant easy glide-through which no doubt will ease their discomfort if they choose to be recalcitrant.

  3. I Like To Make Stuff

    Awesome!  Great stuff Linn!

    1. +I Like To Make Stuff Thanks Bob! I hope you share it! 🙂

  7. Sigmundr Creations

Will it wax? That is the question!

  8. Some of these are the same idea repeated. All in all, though, there are a lot of good ideas here.

  9. Awesome video Linn. These are some cool wax hacks. I would like to try some of these. This might sound “dumb” but when you say 4:1 what kind of measurements are you meaning? Thanks

    1. It’s a ratio. Four parts of one thing to every one part of the other thing.

    2. Thanks for the reply. so as example 4 oz of oil to 1oz of wax. I just wanted to make sure I understood 😀

  10. Dear Darbin Orvar çalışmaların mükemmel, seni çok takdlr ediyorum, video yapım tarzın da harika..

  11. Hey there Linn, nice work, thanks for that.
I have a metal finish recipe for you that was given to me many years ago from an old guy in Australia for preserving the finish on an old sword I got from him. I’ve been using it for over 20 years and it works well. I couldn’t tell you how it would compare to some of your other recipes, but I’m happy with it and it smells great.
It’s up to you on the amounts of the following you use in the recipe. I change it a little bit every time I make it.:-)
Melt wax and add light oil e.g. sewing machine oil, add Inox oil and gum turpentine from an arts and craft shop or hardware shop.
When everything has melted and mix together, you can pour the hot mix on a shammy towel and use the shammy whenever you need it, it can last for years.
    Thanks again Linn, cheers

  12. Is waxified Danish oil Magic Swedish Finishing Compound?

  13. Ha, it looks like the main use of beeswax is to create a whole bunch of work projects! lol Just give me my nice beeswax tapers, a candle holder, my coffee table, and a match. Light match, light candle, kick back and relax. Ahhhhhhh.

  14. At last! an intelligent young woman on YT………woopee!

  15. How did you turn those oils to wax?

    1. Read the description silly me.

  16. went to my favorites

  17. Sorry what is mineral spirits?

  18. are the ratios by weight or by volume?
